and the girls were pretty excited! They've been using this book for a couple of years now..
They are at the point where they were really wanting a bit more on specific topics so we picked up some more encyclopedias...
I LOVE the science one..It goes over a ton of topics and even has review questions in the back for the kids to answer (and lists the page you can find the answers on). The Geography one is really cool and has is more in depth on the countries, climates, fast over view of ecosystems, etc. and the World history one is really put together well with different time periods together so you can easily see what was happening in those time periods in different parts of the world..and has a great easy reference time chart/line in the back for really quick review.
We also picked up this one...
I've already started looking through it and Love the way it's put together. It'll be a nice addition to use with the girls new World Cultures club that is starting up towards the end of the year (after we are back from our trip).
Finally we picked up a present for a certain little boy we know who just LOVES trains! We hope he'll like the book!
I took a fast look through it and it's pretty nice for a fast read over the different types of train and how they are used to move goods and people..Nice fun read for a fun 5 year old and his Mum.
