Nice fall Hike

We had a great meet up today with the homeschool group up at one of the local "woods".

We got there a bit early to enjoy a small lunch with some of our friends before everyone else showed up. The girls decided that the pond had a hippo in it.

Than it was time to start the hike once everyone arrived. One group of kids got in the lead...

While some others hung back just a bit, and some of us with really young ones picked up the rear. Our first couple of finds..Caterpillars and a snake!

Than it was off to the woods...

Even Dominic enjoyed it...

After the first part of the hike, some of us headed home, while a rugged few decided to hang in and give the second half a go as well.  I'm glad we did. Some more great hiking areas were discovered...

A friend helped carry Dominic awhile, since he didn't want to be snuggled in his wrap carrier and wanted to be able to see a lot more. He sure did seem to love the hike!

He was happy as a clam the whole time!
Then right before we left...

We got another little visitor and it's mom. Everyone had a great time and are already starting to talk about where to do the next hike! Oh! I forgot to mention. Kaitlyn lost another tooth right before the hike, so I put it in my back pocket so we wouldn't lose it. Darn toothfairy is gonna go broke at our house soon ;)
