Nostalgia

The family is getting ready to go on a big trip later this year.  While doing this I started talking to the girls about some of the places they've already visited...which is where the nostalgia comes in. We started looking at pictures and discussing things the girls remember doing...So while I go down memory lane with the girls I thought I'd share some of their favorite pictures...
The top picture (above) is in Banff  Alberta Canada..and so is this one...
and while it was March the hot pools were all SO tempting! The girls spent part of their day everyday that week in the hot pools where we were staying..and they want to go back to visit again. I have some friends who live in Edmonton So maybe we can eventually combine a trip to see them (or meet up in Banff since I know they love that area).

Then there was the girls first trip to Amsterdam..and an interesting visit to Germany first. Our flight got re-routed by a little thing called a volcano...So we got stuck in Frankfurt for a day. While we were waiting in the airport they got a chance to play with another little one...
and then since they had been up for more than 24 hours, they crashed at the airport hotel we stayed in that night...couldn't even get them awake to eat dinner. Of course that also means we were up at 2:30 in the morning which wasn't bad since we had to head back over to the airport after breakfast. Then it was a lot of firsts for them...
Their first Windmill...Their first trip to the wooden shoe maker..
LOL! This picture always cracks me up...After we fixed Arianna's glasses they actually got to help make a wooden shoe! Then there was their first taste of french fries at war...

Storming their first castle...
Kaitlyn's attempt at being a back seat driver and telling daddy where he needs to go. Then there was the first merry go ride...

Then there was their second trip to Amsterdam...
Invading Amsterdam (Maritime Museum).

Standing in a bubble (Science Center Nemo)...

and the trip to Texel and a sheep farm...
and a visit to Keukenhoff or as the girls pronounced it ...Cook in cough...
So now of course they are so excited with some more "firsts" coming our way this trip...They can't wait to see Omi and Opa, are already talking about getting french fries and visiting some of the museums again and getting to share some of their favorite things with Dominic and let him experience some "firsts" as well. ...They can't seem to decide if it's getting close to going...or still to long away!
