Weekly wrap up...

So the girls had fun with food this week. They picked out their favorite seafood medley one night for dinner (octopus, mussels, squid and shrimp), then for another meal they helped make some quiche and for a breakfast they picked fresh strawberries, blueberries and warmed syrup over homemade pancakes...

We had a trip up to the big city and picked up some things from an Indian market, and had some yummy samosas for a fast treat as we left. Then it was a fast trip to Costco for 50 pound bags of rice, four, 5 pound box of baking powder, a brick of fast acting yeast and some free samples...Then it was over to a pizza place to meet up with a local lady who sales Usborne Books..and signed up to sell them as well. They have so many great reference and educational books, kits, activities etc. and we love the one we currently owned..I'll have to post a link to my new distributor site for them as soon as I get it so you can check them out...

Then a friend gave me some great starters for the garden...
since this week is supposed to have wonderful weather...I think we'll be spending a lot of time in the backyard getting the garden rototilled, planned out and planted. Looking forward to some great stuff this summer!

On the science front..the tree of crystals did okay, I had bent the branches of the tree's like they mentioned, but they didn't stay bent..

We're going to leave it another day and see if it does anything else..then it's finishing up some of our other science projects and ocean unit catch up...

Looking forward to a great weather week! Should get us up and motivated after all the rain lately!
