On the way back from the Sun...

After visiting the sun (which is as big as a million earths! And pretty darn hot!) We stopped at Mercury and Venus...

Mercury was interesting...
Our smallest planet, and closest to the sun, but still gets down to almost -300 Degree's! Now that's pretty COOL! It's also one of two planets with no moon! It's also the pitts...No really. It's got big craters all over from where meteorites and comets have crashed into it!


Venus was cooler....Well, actually Venus is HOT, HOT, HOT!! With all the clouds over it making the planet retain more heat, it's actually the hottest planet in our solar system! It's also the second planet in our solar system without a moon. And if you were to land on it, everything would look really rusty!


We also celebrated a birthday this week (one of several) an Kaitlyn loved all her presents. Than used one of her presents to make one for her Omi!

She also made one for Sis, and already needs to buy more fabric loops to do even more!
Arianna also celebrated a birthday, but I'm going to have to steal some pictures from Opa once he's moved them to the computer out of his camera.

Saturday got started kind of slow, while I was working on the computer, the baby was playing with his play yard quietly...or so I thought. Seems he was kidnapped by his sister and this is how I found them...

 And when they noticed me...

With everyone having birthdays (me included) we decided a trip to the museum of Science and Industry would be a fun family trip (bonus for a solar system movie at the planetarium). The kids had a great time looking around OMSI and we have got to go back for more play time as we didn't have much before our planetarium movie started! (well that and we got a membership, so hubby says we better go back at least one more time to make it worth it! I don't think that will be a problem) We found lots of interesting things..

And of course lots of stuff to try out...

Heck even big brother had to get into the act...

After all that it was into the planetarium for the "perfect little planet" viewing. As soon as the show started I heard both girls going "AWESOME!!" I guess they liked it ;)

After the show it was time to head out, grab some dinner...

were both girls had to try the toxic looking drinks. LOL. Dominic hung out with big brother for a while...

and than it was the long, WET drive home. Record rain fall for the weekend is what the weather people are saying, and judging from Saturdays rain, their probably right...for a change.

Today it's housework, homework, and trying to stay dry while running to the store...Lots of fun stuff coming up soon though. Glad everyone seems to be getting over their colds and cough's so hopefully Omi will get over her's soon as well. The girls came down with something the same day Omi and Opa got into town so we've all been "sharing the wealth" so to speak on the darn stuff.
