FREEDOM!!!

I'm pretty sure the chickens came out sing "Freedom....Freedom" today after a self imposed exile while the snow was on the ground! Yes, I started the blog with chickens today...oh, well.
The girls went on another "rainforest" adventure and even invited Dominic to "ride in the canoe" with them! Unfortunately they got lost again...I'm pretty convinced at this point that if we did go and see the real rainforest they'd probably get lost is a matter of minutes!
We read about manatee's in Costa Rica's Tortuguero National Park and then read "Manatee Winter" by Kathleen Weidner Zoehfeld about Manatee's in Florida as well. After that it was a short video, a trip to the store and some math games (yes, they play them for fun. LOL) The girls started learning about some of the historical homeschooled greats and some of the more modern "greats" of homeschooling. Here's a really interesting piece talking about some of them...http://www.examiner.com/article/25-modern-science-math-and-technology-leaders-who-were-homeschooled

4H was fun and they made heart pillows for a sewing project. The girls had fun! They are all excited about the fieldtrip tomorrow and then a party on friday! What fun!! and then mom messed up! (yes, even I mess up, okay so maybe your not THAT surprised :)  )

I totally forgot we had an extra music lesson this week and had to call and apologize profusely. UGH! I hate when I forget to update all the calendars at once!
