Yep, the girls are wanting to start work on their ocean unit study...And since we've had some questions on how I throw stuff together etc. I'm going to be fairly detailed on the information.
But for this post, I'll just show you some of the stuff we are using, and then I'll put together the list of everything and do a post on the complete unit.
The dollar store/goodwill is great, especially for some fun projects. We picked up some stuffed ocean friends at both places for our upcoming window display. We picked up some green streamer rolls in the party section to use as "seaweed/kelp", they had some of the "grow" sea creatures so we picked up a stingray, a shark, a sea turtle and a starfish to do. The girls started doing their tissue paper fish yesterday...
While watching/listening to The Little Mermaid. So it was a fun beginning to the unit. today we'll do some more projects and I'll work on getting the list together to post for the full unit. Lots of fun coming up as well with some fieldtrips. Busy couple of weeks!
